Privacy Policy

How Quick Val handles your data

Effective date: August 2026  ·  Version 1.0

The short version: Quick Val stores all data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. Nothing you enter ever leaves your iPhone.

Who we are

Quick Val is a property valuation tool developed by Rob Melhuish. If you have questions about this policy, please contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

What data Quick Val stores

Quick Val stores the following information locally on your device only:

This data is saved in your device's local storage (the iOS Documents directory and UserDefaults). It is included in your device's standard iCloud or iTunes backup if you have those enabled — you control that setting in iOS.

What we do not collect

Quick Val does not collect, transmit, or process any data on external servers. Specifically:

PDF reports

When you generate a PDF valuation report, the file is created entirely on your device. Sharing the PDF via the iOS share sheet (email, AirDrop, Files, etc.) is entirely your choice and is handled by iOS — Quick Val has no visibility into where you send it.

Company logo

If you upload a company logo via the Settings screen, that image is saved as a file in your device's Documents directory. It is used only to personalise your generated PDF reports and is never transmitted anywhere.

Children's privacy

Quick Val is a professional tool intended for adults working in property valuation and surveying. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy at the same URL. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
